Ahead of the Notre Dame football team's opener against Miami, Love has sent a message that should make everyone pay attention. The superstar running back put his opponents on notice. The best part of his message is that while opposing teams and fans should be worried about him, Love wants to make sure people are concerned about the entirety of the Fighting Irish.
As a way to celebrate the start of Week 1 and his first game of the season just days away, Love wrote an article for The Player's Tribune titled "Delayed Not Denied." The article was a peek into how Love is approaching the season after his team just fell short of winning the National Title last season.

One line sticks out near the beginning of the article, "I’ll never forget that night." The Notre Dame football star then shared what head coach Marcus Freeman told the team after their loss to Ohio State.
"I remember the work we put in to get there. I remember that it wasn’t enough. And I remember what Coach Free said to us in the locker room after the game. 'Our national championship hasn’t been denied — it’s just been delayed.'"
"I’ve been thinking about those words a lot this summer. Delayed. If you aren’t in our room, if you’re not one of us, you might think that’s cocky or whatever."
