The son of former NFL legend Larry Fitzgerald is already on record, saying that his visit to see what Notre Dame football had to offer was better than anything he could have expected. Now, at least one recruiting analyst believes that Devin Fitzgerald will pull the commitment trigger before too long.

The young Fitzgerald was in South Bend over Father’s Day weekend as part of a considerable group of the Fighting Irish’s top targets. On his way home, he told anyone who would listen that Marcus Freeman and company made serious progress with him.

It was a great experience,” The Notre Dame football target told Irish Sports Daily. “Just getting to know some of the other recruits and spending quality time with the coaches and current players. I got to ask some questions, so it was great to learn more about the school and what it would really be like to go there.”

Not long after that visit, On3’s Mike Singer officially predicted that Devin Fitzgerald would commit to the Irish.

The 3-star wide receiver is considered the No. 4 player in Arizona and the No. 81 wide receiver in the 2026 class according to On3’s industry rankings. While the Irish are now the official front-runners for the Brophy College Preparatory (Phoenix, AZ) product, Michigan and UCLA were considered the leaders in the clubhouse at one point, too.

The receiver, who posted 52 receptions for 720 yards and 9 TDs on 13.8 yards per grab in his junior season, still has one more official visit in the cards. He’ll take a trip to North Carolina next weekend and is expected to announce a commitment shortly thereafter.

In what is predicted to be a mammoth June for the Notre Dame football program’s recruiting efforts, Devin Fitzgerald is the latest name on a long list who could be wearing Blue and Gold next fall.
