When Notre Dame didn't make the College Football Playoff, it made sense that it was a big storyline right then and there. However, it has now been over a month since the Irish were snubbed, and it is time for everyone to move on from it.
While Notre Dame will remember this going into the 2026 season and play with a chip on their shoulder, the media really needs to let this go. After Miami, the team that Notre Dame was snubbed for, won the Fiesta Bowl against Ole Miss, ESPN host Nicole Briscoe took a completely unnecessary shot at the Irish.
"Hello Notre Dame, hello, are you there?" Briscoe said. "No, they're not, but Miami still is, and they're going to the title game. Is that too soon?"
ESPN just started its night recap with a Notre Dame mention ðŸ˜

It is time for everyone to move on from the Notre Dame CFP snub
Congratulations to Miami for making it to the College Football Playoff National Championship game. While many felt Notre Dame should have been in the CFP, especially Irish fans, the Hurricanes have proved many people wrong with their postseason run.
However, for Briscoe to take that shot at Notre Dame was completely uncalled for. Shouldn't everyone be simply focusing on Miami's success instead of focusing on the past? If anything, it is proving that Notre Dame lives rent-free in the heads of many people.
The Hurricanes have proven they belong, and if they win it all, well, good for them. Notre Dame, at this point, has moved on from the snub and is looking towards the 2026 football season, so everyone else should too.
