The Notre Dame Fighting Irish stormed into Fayetteville to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks in a matchup that could have quickly turned into a make-or-break game for the season.

However, as the Irish tacked on 420 yards and 42 points in the first half alone, the elation for the Notre Dame crowd was deafening.

Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman has been on one of the hottest seats of the season, and the Razorback fans were even calling for him to be fired as the game progressed, with Arkansas trailing 42-13.

However, the Razorback supporters were almost immediately drowned out by the Fighting Irish cheering on their team, chanting "Let's go Irish!"

In the first half, Notre Dame quarterback CJ Carr completed nearly 73 percent of his pass attempts to rack up 294 yards and four touchdowns. The always impressive running back room also had a good start to the day, as Carr, Jadarian Price, and Jeremiyah Love combined for 126 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

Love caught two of Carr's passing touchdowns, alongside Price, who caught one, and wide receiver Will Paulin.

Arkansas was coming off an embarrassing loss to the Memphis Tigers, blowing a double-digit lead, and everyone expected the Razorbacks to come back with a vengeance, finally knocking off a Notre Dame Team that everyone was repeatedly calling overrated.

To put it lightly, Notre Dame proved just about everyone wrong, adding more and more points to the scoreboard as the Irish defensive unit held the Razorbacks to just 207 points and one touchdown, Arkansas kicker Scott Starzyk scoring the most points on the team with two field goals and one extra point.

With the dominant win, maybe people will stop doubting the No. 22 Fighting Irish, who are coming off a run to the National Championship game, lest anyone forget.
