One day after a former Notre Dame football player suffered a rather frightening injury, Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is trying to calm the fears of Irish and Cleveland Browns fans both.

The linebacker was taken off of the field on Sunday afternoon after tackling Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry. It seemed like the former Irish star was a bit woozy and suffered a neck injury. He was taken off on a cart while the Browns fans chanted his nickname.

As he was leaving the field, the ex-Notre Dame football star did manage to signal to the crowd, trying to make sure they knew he was ok. And then on Monday he sent out a Twitter message as well, saying, “all is well. Alhamdulillah.”

That message was sent not long after the defender was released from the hospital. At this moment, it appears that nothing was seriously damaged, though he hasn’t made an official statement, nor has the team since that tweet.

The closest thing to an official statement on his situation was when Coach Kevin Stefanski said Owusu-Koramoah was out of the hospital “and doing better.” Stefanski didn’t provide any other specifics about the injury or a timetable on how long Cleveland’s leading tackler could be out.

The good news is that even if he has to sit out a while, he’s happy about whatever the prognosis was and the Notre Dame football star will be making tackles again at some point in the future.
