It seems like everyone is only really looking at Jeremiyah Love on the Notre Dame offense, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but there is another player who deserves some attention. Of course, Love is the focal point for this Fighting Irish offense, but quarterback CJ Carr can't be forgotten about as well.

The Heisman Trophy race seems like it is only between quarterbacks Fernando Mendoza and Julian Sayin, with a few others, like Love, trying to catch up, but Carr deserves to be in the conversation as well. Carr has not only impressed this season, but his improvement from game to game is also very underrated.

Love joined Pat McAfee on "The Pat McAfee Show" this week and spoke on anything and everything regarding Notre Dame football. However, we are now going to focus on his breakdown of Carr, as it should honestly scare every team in college football, especially now that Carr is only a freshman.

Jeremiyah Love breaks down CJ Carr's improvement this season and how it has propelled Notre Dame each game

CJ Carr comes from a family that is very well-known in the football community, especially the Michigan football community. However, recently, Carr shared his reason for picking Note Dame and it will warm the heart of every college football fan. Figthing Irish fans are certainly happy he chose South Bend over Ann Arbor, and so is Jeremiyah Love.

When talking about Carr on "The Pat McAfee Show," Love broke down how Carr was able to take apart the Pitt defense in Week 12 to open the game for both himself and fellow running back Jadarian Price. It should be mentioned that when Notre Dame faced Pitt, the Panthers had the No. 3 run defense in the country.

"Pitt showed a blitz package and CJ immediately recognized it and went out of his way to motion Malachi (Fields) down so that he could get a better angle coming down to block that safety," Love said. "He picked that up and was smart enough to move that guy down so that he could get a better block on the safety to give us as running backs a better opportunity to break free for a touchdown or break free for 10-plus yards."

Love goes on to talk about Carr's mentality and smarts to recognize that and get better with it week after week. The biggest thing that should scare every team in college football, though, is what Love said next.

"CJ has just constantly been on the trend of getting better every week, and I don't think he is stopping anytime soon," Love said.

That is huge coming from a guy like Love, who has played with some great players. Carr is clearly getting better and better, and it should be remembered that he is just a freshman. If he wants to stay in South Bend for the long haul of his career, it seems like he could do some special things with the Fighting Irish.
