Notre Dame knew that when they stepped inside Acrisure Stadium to take on Pitt today, they needed to have a big game. The player known for having the biggest games is No. 4 for the Fighting Irish, Jeremiyah Love.

Love spoke on the headset with College GameDay while he was warming up for the Noon kickoff against Pitt and shared how he prepared for this season. Love spent the offseason really focusing on going North and South on the field in order to get the big play. He talked about how he loves to make big moves on defenders and get them off balance to gain a few more yards.

Well, Love showed off what he worked on this offseason with a huge touchdown run that had his defender dizzy on the ground.

Jermeiyah Love puts a defender in the spin cycle and turns on the jets in big TD run

There is no doubt that the best running back in the country is Notre Dame's Jeremiyah Love. Even Desmond Howard said it on College GameDay Saturday morning, and he is showing that on the field against Pitt.

After a big play to put seven on the board and give Notre Dame the lead, the Fighting Irish offense was back on the field, and Love showed exactly why he is the best running back in the country. After a handoff from quarterback CJ Carr, Love was patient, found a seam, and hit it. In the open field, Love completely spun out of a tackle from a Pitt defender, and then it was off to the races.

Love totally turned on the jets and sped his way to the end zone to give Notre Dame a 14-0 lead in the first quarter. It is clear that Love wanted to work on those big explosive plays this season, and this touchdown run is a clear example of that.

Notre Dame is going up against the No. 3 rushing defense in the country, facing Pitt, so Love and fellow running back Jadarian Price need to be at their best in order to break through, just like Love did on his rushing touchdown.
