As the Notre Dame football team prepares to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks, all eyes are on defensive back Leonard Moore.
Moore had to leave the game against Texas A&M early after he suffered an ankle injury, and while he did return to that game, he had to sit out the Purdue contest and came into Saturday listed as questionable.
Is Leonard Moore playing against Arkansas today?
There's been plenty of hope all week that Notre Dame could get its best defensive back on the field against the Razorbacks. At the moment, they will at least get their best Nickel back against Arkansas as Devonta Smith is now listed as probable. However, things are still very much up in the air for Moore. However, ESPN College GameDay did offer a little hope.
The Irish still consider Moore questionable this morning, but according to the ESPN broadcast, the defensive back wants to try to play.
Notre Dame football hopes Leonard Moore returns
College GameDay says Moore might not even make it all the way through warmups, but will still try to get on the field at some point on Saturday. Should he be able to play, it would be a massive boost to a defense that can definitely use him.
The Arkansas Razorbacks are only 2-2 thanks to big mistakes late in their two losses, but their offense, led by quarterback Taylen Green, will be hard to slow down, especially since the Irish defense has been mostly bad so far in 2025.
The Notre Dame football team enters this week with its fourth straight "must win" game. Once again, every game is a playoff game because the team put itself behind the eight-ball early. They'd love to face these playoff games with their best defender, Leonard Moore.
