Notre Dame fans right now are angry, sad, frustrated, and just all around confused at what happened with the College Football Playoff. It is safe to say the team itself is feeling all of those emotions even worse, and it led the team to decide to opt out of a bowl game altogether.
There is nothing that is going to fix this other than the committee coming out and changing their decision, which just won't ever happen. At this point, it is time to use this as fuel for the 2026 season and know that every team should be terrified of the Fighting Irish next year.
In the meantime, Notre Dame has released season two of "Here Come The Irish," and a docu-series following the team throughout the season. They started this for the 2024 season and decided to renew the series in 2025. This is a great way for fans to see the ins and outs of the season and even the things that not every fan sees off the field.
Marcus Freeman gives Notre Dame fans yet another reason to absolutely love him
Before the football season even started, there was a lot of talk as to who Notre Dame would name as the starting quarterback after Riley Leonard went to the NFL last season. It was quite the competition between CJ Carr and Kenny Minchey that came to a head less than two weeks before the start of the season.
In the end, head coach Marcus Freeman chose CJ Carr to be the starter for the Fighting Irish, and it really worked out in the end. Carr had an amazing freshman season, which included leading the Irish to a 10-2 record and what should have been a College Football Playoff appearance.
The kind of moment you only see when the cameras never stop rolling.

Well, the "Here Comes The Irish" show had a clip of when Freeman told Carr he would be the starter for the season, and it will really help warm the hearts of Irish fans everywhere.
"You're going to be our starting quarterback," Freeman told Carr. "There's a lot of things that when into why I made this decision, but this is the way I want to go, and I believe in you."
Freeman makes it clear that Carr was given the job because he earned it, and he felt Carr was the one who was going to have more potential on the field. This is the very reason why Freeman earns the big bucks as Notre Dame's head coach, because it is clear that he made the right decision.
