Marcus Freeman is on a hot streak that even all the water in the ocean couldn't extinguish. Notre Dame has just secured yet another commitment in the Class of 2026, and this one comes from 4-star cornerback Khary Adams out of Maryland.
Adams was expected to commit to the Fighting Irish, but of course, the team had to wait until his commitment date to hear the announcement. Adams chose Notre Dame over other big-time schools like Michigan, South Carolina, and Penn State, all programs he took official visits to in the last month.
Adams is ranked as the No. 3 cornerback in the Class of 2026, the No. 4 player in the state of Maryland, and the No. 67 player nationally. This is a huge commitment for Notre Dame, especially in the last few weeks, where it seems like commitments have been coming left and right. The Fighting Irish were also able to beat out many other Power 4 Conference teams, which is huge for a school that can't win a conference championship.

The writing was on the wall at Notre Dame for Khary Adams
It seemed that it would have been a huge plot twist had Adams chosen another school to commit to. Adams took four visits to South Bend, and he said it just didn't seem like there was another program like Notre Dame in the country. He even used the word special to describe the type of program that Notre Dame is.
Adams is the 18th commitment for Notre Dame in this class, and the Fighting Irish are putting together an elite 2026 group with the No. 3 class in the country. Freeman is doing very well on the recruiting trail, and there is just a feeling that he isn't even close to being done yet. Notre Dame could be in for a few more big commitments soon. Just hold on tight, Notre Dame fans.
