There is a big reason Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman is a highly sought-after coach, and it is because he has proven himself year in adn year out with the Fighting Irish. In his third season with Notre Dame, Freeman led the Fighting Irish to the National Championship game, which unfortunately ended in a loss.

Now, Freeman has Notre Dame in a spot to still make the playoffs, even after two early losses during the season. With so many coaching positions open, of course, fans are a little afraid of losing Freeman to another program. Now with two NFL head coaching positions, fans are afraid Freeman could lose college coaching altogether.

Freeman, however, is making things clear about where he stands with all of these head coach openings and where he wants to be.

Marcus Freeman made it crystal clear that Notre Dame is where he plans to stay

Marcus Freeman is focused on what Marcus Freeman wants to be focused on. There is no doubt that the Notre Dame coach is thinking about anything other than the Fighting Irish now after the statement he made to On3's Chris Low.

"If my name is being mentioned for another job, that’s somebody else’s noise," Freeman said. "That ain’t the noise that Marcus Freeman is putting in his mind."

Freeman even told his team not to listen to other people's noise outside of the program because that is not what their focus needs to be on. There is no doubt that Freeman is a great coach, and it is honestly a compliment that so many programs want him, but he doesn't seem to be eager to leave South Bend anytime soon.

There is still some unfinished business from the 2024 season that Freeman needs to tend to before he would even think about leaving South Bend. Freeman is making it clear that he is keeping his mind on his team, and everyone can talk as much as they want, but he isn't going to listen.
