After taking time off, the Notre Dame football team is back in the weight room for winter conditioning, and it is clear they are already putting the foot on the gas pedal for next season. The Irish did not end their season the way they ever thought they would after getting snubbed from the College Football Playoff and then opting out of a bowl game.

Head coach Marcus Freeman made sure his guys got a good break from football to relax and reset, and now it is time to get back to work. Notre Dame released a video of winter workouts that the team is doing right now, and it should fire fans up for the 2026 season.

Strength and conditioning coach Loren Landow can be heard talking in the video hyping the players up, but he said something that will obviously be a point of emphasis for Notre Dame going forward.

"Get after the details, get after the work," Landow said. "Leave no doubt in everything that we do."

It is clear that for the 2026 season, Notre Dame is not planning to leave their fate in the hand sof anyone else again. The Irish did that in 2025 with two early losses, and it ended up coming back to bite them in the end when the committee snubbed them from the College Football Playoff.

Notre Dame is not going to leave anything to chance again, especially in the 2026 season, as they definitely have something to prove now. If the Irish can make sure they do their job and leave nothing to chance, there is no way the committee leaves them out in the cold again, and Notre Dame can get back to competing for National Championships.
