The Notre Dame football team has put in a bid to be known as Tight End U for a few years now and so far, it looks like it’s winning that bid. The program sends plenty of TEs to the league and it keep recruiting even more talented highschoolers at the position. One of those recruits that Marcus Freeman has set his sights on is Brayden Fogle.
Fogle is a 4-star tight end out of Ohio who is among the best players in the 2026 class as well as one of the best players in the state, according to 247Sports. He’s someone who rated as one of the top tight ends in the state as well via several publications and he’s someone the Irish have zeroed in on somewhat late in the cycle.
Notre Dame enters the race for elite 4-star tight end Brayden Fogle
Despite getting their foot in the door pretty late for a top rated recruit for the 2026 class, the Notre Dame football team has made progress to the point where it is hosting Fogle in South Bend over the next week.
The offer list for Fogle is an elite one. Some of the top programs that have offered the Ohio star include the Fighting Irish, Georgia, Michigan, LSU, Ole Miss, Penn State, Auburn, Michigan State, South Carolina, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Syracuse, Cincinnati, Virginia, Duke, Stanford, and Purdue among many others.
One reason why the Notre Dame football team and the rest of the power schools coming after him are so interested is because he’s a heck of an athlete. Not only is he a star on the gridiron but he’s also a top ranked basketball player. Who knows whether he’ll be able to pursue a two-sport slate a the next level.
