The Notre Dame Fighitng Irish women's basketball season is right around the corner and Niele Ivey's squad has just finalized the final piece of the regular season puzzle with the announcement of the fourth-annual Shamrock Classic. The game will take place on November 15 and feature ND taking on gridiron rival Michigan on NBC at 4 p.m.
The Wolverines and the Irish are plenty familiar with each other, as they faced off in the Round of 32 in the 2025 NCAA Tournament. The Irish earned the victory in their home court, 76-55. Hannah Hidalgo paced Notre Dame with 21 points, going 8-14 from the floor.

Latest bowl predictions aren't great
If Marcus Freeman and Co. needed any more notice that its vital they start winning games, and convincingly, there's the latest bowl projections from Brett McMurphy. The On3 analyst has them going to the Pop-Tarts bowl against Texas Tech. Quite a step down from the playoffs.

The Irish did get some good news earlier this week as 5-star commit Joey O'Brien is coming back to South Bend this weekend. That's big news for the Blue and Gold and seems to indicate he's as solid as solid can be.
Will Howard has a bone to pick with Notre Dame
Earlier this week, former Ohio State quarterback Will Howard made it clear he is no fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He claimed that he was about to commit to Marcus Freeman and Co. but they pulled the rug out and took Riley Leonard instead.
