Over the weekend, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish were reminded once again why it's good they have Marcus Freeman as the head coach and Brian Kelly has now moved on.
After losing to Ole Miss this past weekend, Kelly was quick to place blame on everyone else but himself for the outcome of the game. Kelly's post-game press conference really made no sense as his first victim of blame was quarterback Garrett Nussmeier, who is the backbone of the LSU offense.
However, he quickly turned the tide on the rest of his team, talking about how every player on his team needs to play better, but not once in that response did he take any blame for himself. The entire video should once again make Notre Dame Fighting Irish fans understand how unique Marcus Freeman's approach is to this sort of thing and how much better it is as well.
CJ Carr makes Davey O'Brien midseason watch list
Freshman quarterback CJ Carr has been selected to the Week 5 Davey O'Brien Great 8. As part of his selection, he is now a member of the award's Midseason Watch List. The Davey O'Brien Award honors the nation's top college quarterback.
Carr certainly deserves it, considering he's got over 1,000 yards passing, 9 touchdowns, and just 2 INTs so far this season. Some wonder if he wouldn't be on the Heisman list if Notre Dame hadn't lost two games already.

- Marcus Freeman is trying his hand as a pitchman. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish head coach made an appearance in the latest ad for Factor Meals. Something tells me that won't be the last ad he does.
