The Notre Dame Fighting Irish women’s basketball team officially got some bad news on Tuesday. One of the best players to come through the program in the last few years is officially gone. She found her new home and it’s one that’s not well liked by Blue and Gold fans.

Meanwhile, Shawn Stiffler’s squad isn’t doing all it can to help him stay on the job. If he’s on the hotseat, then the latest non-conference matchup isn’t cooling it off.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish baseball suffers another loss

There was a time when the only saving grace of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish baseball team’s season was that they were dominant against teams outside the ACC. However, Shawn Stiffler’s group has now lost two in a row to non-con opponents.

On Tuesday night, Notre Dame lost to Big Ten school Northwestern, 9-7. With the win, the Wildcats improved to 15-15 on the season, while ND fell to the same record. It’s another bad loss in a season that seems to be spinning out of control, quickly.

Olivia Miles finds her new home

Not long after the NCAA Tournament loss to TCU, Olivia Miles announced she was entering the portal. There were some who hoped that she was just checking out what’s out there and that she might realize it’s not always greener.

However, on Tuesday, she officially found her next school. She is headed to TCU, the same school that beat her team in the Sweet 16.

Football trending in the right direction

After spending the early part of the spring struggling on the recruiting front, it feels like Marcus Freeman and company have turned it around. They scored a big commitment on the defensive line over the weekend.

Now, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish look like they’re solidly in the lead for another. Several recruiting analysts believe Notre Dame is on a path to secure the commitment of Texas DL Tiki Hola when he announces his pledge early next month.
