As the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team begins its fall camp, the real excitement around the team is, as it has been for several years now, the running back room; however, this time around, the running backs for the Irish.

One analyst, David Pollack, says that not only do the Irish have an immaculate running back room, but it's also the "standard" for the sport:

"Notre Dame has the best running back room in the country, and it's not close," Pollack said about the Notre Dame Fighting Irish running backs. "Here's the thing. Love's the best to me. He's the best running back in the country because he's got the wiggle. He's got the juice. He's got moves. And then when you got Jadarian Price, who comes in, who's totally different and so freaking physical. And then Love comes back in, and you're like, gosh, dang it. Like, really? I got to tackle both of these guys? And then Aneyas Williams ... he's a great third down back. That's why Notre Dame has the best backfield in America."

Notre Dame is pursuing a new 4-star cornerback

Marcus Freeman and Co. are going hard into the 2027 recruiting class now that they almost have the 2026 class wrapped up. The latest player they're going both barrels on is Oregon prospect Josiah Molden. The school is fighting off USC and Oregon, among others, but is hoping to land a visit on a gameday.

Two Irish stars are on the Bronco Nagurski Watch List

It's officially Award Watch List season, and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish has two defensive players in Drayk Bowen and Leonard Moore, on the 2025 Bronco Nagurski Trophy watch list. This award is different than some others because different players can be added and taken off.

However, for the moment, Bowen and Moore are on that list. There's no reason to think they won't be on it from now until the end of the season.
