The season is still about six months away, but it’s officially time to start seeing projections for what Notre Dame football could do in the fall.

If FanDuel Sportsbook is correct, 2025 could be another very good year for Marcus Freem and the Fighting Irish. That means of course that odds are high that the Golden Domers are going to win a ton of games.

The Notre Dame football team is one of four teams to have the highest projected win total of 10.5 in the country. The other three teams are just about who someone would expect as it’s Ohio State, Oregon and Penn State.

Those four having the highest projected win totals of course, means that the quartet should be favored to make the College Football Playoff again. All four made it in 2024 and all four have been projected to make it with basically every analyst who has put out their “way too early” projections.

The next group, teams that are projected to win 9.5 games are a lot of the usual suspects.  Georgia, Texas, and Tennessee make up that group along with Clemson.

Michigan, Indiana, Louisville and Miami come after that group with a projected 8.5 wins and at that point, whether or not they will make the playoffs.

The Notre Dame football team still has to play the games. For that matter, they need to find a quarterback who can lead them. But things are looking very, very good for Marcus Freeman’s fourth year so far.
