Brady Quinn is one of the most beloved Notre Dame quarterbacks of the modern era. He's so beloved, in fact, that Brady Quinn is one of the Fighting Irish's top QB targets of the 2028 cycle. However, the Brady Quinn that Marcus Freeman and Co. are pursuing is not the Brady Quinn that is beloved, nor are the two men related. And yet, the recruit got his name because of how beloved the former Irish star is among the football fanbase.

Head spinning yet?

The Brady Quinn, who is a 2028 quarterback out of Chaminade-Madonna in Hollywood, Florida, is one of the top prospects in his class. He's ranked the No. 16 quarterback in the class according to the Rivals Industry Rankings. Several Power 4 programs are after his services, including Notre Dame.

Why 2028 quarterback Brady Quinn could be a perfect recruiting fit for Notre Dame football

He is not related to Brady Quinn, who played his college ball in South Bend from 2003 to 2006. However, according to the young gunslinger, his family was such fans of the ex-Notre Dame and NFL quarterback that they named him Brady.

Now the "new" Brady Quinn considers the Fighting Irish one of his top schools as he begins deciding where he'll play his college ball.

“It went really great,” Quinn said of an unofficial visit to Notre Dame he made at the end of March. “We had a really good time. Everything was really good.” He said that practice and the way Freeman and offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock go through things stood out. “It was quick, but it looked good,” Quinn added. “They got a lot done.”

Quinn said that he's getting close to committing to a school, despite there being quite a bit of time before he can sign on the dotted line. “After spring, I’m going to evaluate what I have and who I like. Then take some summer visits and maybe commit in late June or early July.”

Notre Dame football has their foot in the door for a whole new Brady Quinn. It would certainly make sense if Freeman and Co. used the former NFL player turned analyst in their recruiting.
