The Notre Dame football team is no stranger to two brothers both playing in the program. However, pursuing and recruiting two twin brothers like Adrian and Amiir Woodward is a relatively new experience for Marcus Freeman and Co.
The two brothers play cornerback for a powerhouse high school program in Bergen County, New Jersey, and yes, they plan to attend college at the same school. Adrian and Amiir Woodward are four-star corners who currently attend Bergen Catholic. The brothers have seen their recruitment surge despite being only sophomores. Back in March, Chad Simmons of On3 reported that the Woodward twins plan to commit to one school as a pair.
Notre Dame seems to be honoring the Woodward brothers' wish to be recruited as a team by issuing offers to continue their playing days in South Bend at the same time. The two even go so far as to use the same Twitter account, and last Friday, the pair announced that they had both been offered by the Fighting Irish.
At the next level, Adrian Woodward projects as a safety, rather than a cornerback, and according to the Rivals Industry Rankings, he's the No. 10 safety in the 2028 class, as well as the No. 5 player in New Jersey and the No. 93 player in the entire cycle. Amiir is projected to stay at the corner and is the No. 7 CB, the No. 4 player in the state, and the No. 55 player in the class.

Adrian and Amiir Woodward give Notre Dame football a rare twin recruiting chance
The twins are continuing to be rising stars in their class, even if they are insisting on being a package deal. It's not hard to understand why considering not only have they excelled on the gridiron, but the duo can be seen burning up the track in the winter and spring seasons. The duo were part of a 4x200 relay squad that set a new state record during last June’s New Balance Nationals. Individually, they have become two of the top sprinters in the state.
Amiir has run 6.45 in the 55-meter dash indoors. During New Balance Nationals earlier this month, he ran 21.51 in the 200-meter dash. He has performed well on the biggest stage, breaking 11 seconds in the 100-meter dash outdoors during nationals with a time of 10.95.
Meanwhile Adrian ran a best time of 6.72 in the 55 indoors this season while also logging a time of 21.29 in the 200, which was the third-fastest time in the state in the winter.
Notre Dame might be one of the teams uniquely suited to recruit the Woodward twins. Most recently, veteran receiver Jordan Faison was joined in South Bend by his younger brother Dylan. The Faisons were also two-sport stars like the Woodwards, until Jordan decided to focus on football rather than Lacrosse as well.
The Fighting Irish could even use the Faisons as an interesting recruiting tool. The two could talk to Amiir and Adrian Woodward about what it's like to play at Notre Dame as brothers.
