As the Notre Dame football team continues its spring practice there have been some players that have already stood out. Some players have stood out to the coaches and others have stood out to their teammates.
The latter are always the more interesting. When a member of the football team goes out of their way to say their teammate is impressing them, it’s always noteworthy. When they are able to go into specifics as to why they’re impressive, it’s even better.
Such is the case with offensive lineman, Guerby Lambert. It’s still early days for spring practice, but he’s already drawing quite a bit of praise from his Notre Dame football teammates. He’s especially impressed young defensive lineman Bryce Young, who spoke to the media earlier this week about what he’s seen from the big lineman.

Notre Dame football OL Guerby Lambert impressing teammates
“He's super flexible, he's able to get down in his stance and just burst out,” Young said. “Which is crazy for him. One of the most flexible guys I've seen, so that helps him a lot. He's got a really strong base in his pass rush, just super quick and twitchy.”
One of the reasons that Lambert’s ability stands out is that Young thinks it will only make him better in practice. That will certainly come in handy for games.
"“So I think going against him has helped me a lot, just getting better, working my stuff so that when the season comes, we're going against the best in the country, I've already seen.”"
As the Notre Dame football team looks to reload on the offensive line after losing several players to the transfer portal, Guerby Lambert is an important piece to watch.
