The Notre Dame football team is in its final days of preparing for its big Sugar Bowl matchup against the Georgia Bulldogs. One of the things that Irish fans are most excited to see is whether or not some of the players that have been banged up will be able to take on the Dawgs on New Year’s Day night.
ND faithful already knows that defensive lineman Rylie Mills is done for the year. However, they’re still hoping that running back Jeremiyah Love will be back and ready to go. And be 100% for the game as they’re going to need a homerun hitter against the SEC powerhouse.
The Notre Dame football team does look like it’s going to get one of its injured offensive linemen for the game on Wednesday night. Rocco Spindler was spotted practicing this weekend and appears like he’s ready to give them a full game.
Notre Dame football appears ready to get injured lineman back
The Notre Dame offensive line was one of the only position groups to head outside for position drills in order to have the space to get through all the drills.
Blue & Gold followed the unit out there to see if big Spindler was a participant, and they saw that he was indeed. The senior offensive lineman assumed his normal spot as the starting right guard.
Spindler left Notre Dame football’s first-round playoff game against Indiana with a right ankle injury. His ankle was heavily taped Saturday, but he wasn’t holding anything back in his participation. That’s excellent news for a unit that is going to be challenged by Georgia’s defensive attack.
