On Friday, Notre Dame football landed its 2027 quarterback and on Monday they landed a weapon for him to throw to when they get to South Bend.

Continuing what has been quite the heater to open May, the Irish scored their third commit in four days with Valor Christian wide receiver Jackson Coleman. The Colorado product might be the most under-the-radar type kid the Irish have on their 2027 commitment list, but he's also someone who has been rising in the ranks and on the radar of more and more Power 4 programs.

The 6-foot-4, 200-pound Coleman chose to play for Notre Dame over Oregon, Northwestern, and many others. However, beating out the Ducks definitely stands out for a player that doesn't have the highest ranking ratings.

Coleman was in South Bend for the Blue-Gold game and saw enough in South Bend that he wanted to commit as soon as possible. “It’s the best mixture of everything,” Coleman told Rivals of why he pulled the trigger for the Fighting Irish. “Academics, football, and culture.”

“The coaches, the school, a lot of things did,” he said about what stood out to him . “How the program does things and they’re going to win games and they have great academics.”

As a junior, Jackson Coleman caught 45 passes for 975 yards and nine touchdowns, averaging nearly 22 yards per catch. He adds to a Notre Dame football recruiting class that Rivals previously ranked No. 10 nationally. Notably, the Highlands Ranch, Colorado product is the first wide receiver commit in the 2027 cycle.
