Jeremiyah Love might have gotten the most attention among Notre Dame players at the NFL Combine, but Jadarian Price managed to show enough that there are still some who think he could be the second-best back in the draft.

Love's performance in the 40-yard dash, where he posted a 4.36 as his best time, raised some serious eyebrows. He might have even moved himself further up the board. Price's runs on the 40 weren't as impressive; his best was 4.49, which tied him for sixth.

The Notre Dame star also posted a middle-of-the-road split and vertical jumps. However, he posted a very nice broad jump of 10'4" that tied him for third among all the running backs participating.

Jadarian Price's field drills give Notre Dame football fans reason for optimism

All together, he did enough to convince onlookers and NFL execs that he still might only trail his Notre Dame teammate as far as being the best running back in the draft.

Price is also a very good special teams contributor, and that, paired with a solid if unspectacular showing at the drills, has some analysts still believing he could go very high, perhaps even on Friday.

"I think when you go to the next level, NFL, the more value you have to stay on the field with other things besides running back, that just makes you more valuable and appreciated as a player," Price told the assembled media at the NFL Combine. "So I think it does help me."

Now the Notre Dame star will sit and wait and see what happens when the NFL Draft rolls around. It's also possible he could participate in the Fighting Irish pro day, but he might end up skipping it, as his backfield mate has already signaled.
