Jaden Greathouse hasn't had the Notre Dame career he had hoped. That doesn't mean he's down on his time in South Bend. In fact, the veteran wide receiver made it clear that as a member of the Fighting Irish, he gets the "best of both worlds."
What does that mean? It's the same thing that countless Fighting Irish players and recruits have talked about before him. Getting to play for one of the best programs in the country is good. Going to one of the best schools in the nation is a heck of a bonus.
"The types of connections that I'll make while I'm here," Greathouse said of Notre Dame. "The education that I'll be getting. And on top of that, being ranked in the top 10 every single year and having a chance to compete for a national championship, like you're just getting the best of both worlds."

Greathouse added that he fell in love with the school the minute he stepped onto campus.
"When you get on campus for the first time, just knowing like the importance of this place and my family can feel it too."
It's a very healthy approach for a wide receiver who hasn't been able to stay healthy as a player. Greathouse had a fantastic College Football Playoff performance in 2024, and experts expected that it would carry over into a breakout 2025.
Unfortunately, Jaden Greathouse got off to a slow start for Notre Dame last fall. He was then injured early in the schedule and really never returned. However, he's stuck it out. He hasn't entered the portal, and he hasn't complained. Now he comes back as a near-certain starter for the 2026 season. It's clear that even if this season and the rest of his career don't go the way he hoped, he's got the right perspective on what else he's getting from South Bend.
