With the 2026 NFL Draft approaching, the question regarding Jeremiyah Love is no longer about his potential ceiling or whether he’ll fall outside the Top 15. Instead, attention has shifted to his draft floor. Specifically, is there a realistic chance the Notre Dame football star could be taken within the Top 10? Analyst Tom Fornelli believes there's very little chance Love will fall outside the Top 5 picks.
Tom Fornelli of CBS Sports recently released his latest 4-round mock draft and expects the Irish back to go very early. He believes, in fact, that even if the Tennessee Titans don’t take Love, someone will, and they’ll still do it in the Top 4 picks.
“I'm convinced that if it's not the Titans taking Love here,” Fornelli wrote about the Notre Dame star. “It's somebody trading up to take Love. It'd be odd for that to happen for an RB, but with his talent and in this draft class, it makes sense.”
Why Jeremiyah Love’s draft floor may now be higher than most expected for Notre Dame football
Fornelli’s comments aren’t out of the norm. Most people believe that Love has shown he’s actually the best player in the draft. The issue is that many teams ahead of the Titans don’t need a running back.
The position has seen a sharp drop in demand over the last few years. Even the Titans, who could use a very good running back, could use several other positions more. However, it will be hard for any team to see the talent Jeremiyah Love offers and say, “I’d rather take this other guy.”
The 2026 NFL Draft kicks off in exactly three weeks. Just how high the Notre Dame star goes keeps changing. So now the question is, “will he go even higher than No. 4?” It seems like a possibility, even if it’s not likely.
