Jordan Faison’s role with Notre Dame has only been growing over the last few years. With 2026 now on the agenda, the wide receiver is taking on more of a leadership position. However, during spring practice, he’s also showing plenty of the kind of skills that could eventually translate to an All-America campaign kind of season.
During Tuesday’s practice, Faison showed that his ability, especially on comeback routes, is second to none for the Fighting Irish. His ability to make a quick cut on the comeback, immediately turn it upfield, and get big yards could be deadly to ND opponents.
On3’s Tyler Horka captured Faison, absolutely schooling the defensive back who was unfortunate enough to draw the coverage assignment. The video shows Faison selling the go route before jamming on the brakes and coming back for the ball. Then once he’s got the reception, he quickly shifts back into his top gear and races down the field.
Jordan Faison is still a master of getting open on the comeback route. Sells like he’s going deep to create separation.

Huge senior season in the works for Faison, who’s solely dedicated to football (no lacrosse) for the first time in his Notre Dame career.

Jordan Faison is showing Notre Dame football All-America potential this spring
Considering Jordan Faison’s real breakout season was 2025, when he led the team in receptions with 49 for 640 yards and four touchdowns, it feels as though the former two-sport star is ready for another jump.
Notre Dame will be looking for top targets this year after Malachi Fields and Will Pauling left for the NFL. Since he’s dedicated himself to football and stopped splitting time with lacrosse, it might be time to recognize just how good the slot receiver can be.
With Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price also gone, Mike Denbrock’s offense may feature more passing than it has in the last few seasons. CJ Carr has the arm and ability to take advantage of putting the ball in the air more. Jordan Faison could eventually parlay the changes to the Notre Dame offense into an All-American campaign if all goes according to plan.
