With six offensive line commits in the 2027 class for Notre Dame, the Irish could be about to get their first for the 2028 cycle.

On Wednesday morning, Allen Trieu logged a brand new group of 2028 prospects. Among them was Kajus Muralis for the Fighting Irish. Though it should be pointed out that even the Rivals analyst doesn't have a great deal of confidence, so this prediction is more an "eventually" than imminent. Granted, there have been plenty of 2028 athletes pulling the trigger on their pledges in the last few weeks. That includes Andre Jones and Owen Davies both committing to Marcus Freeman and Co. in June.

This time, the 6-foot-7, 255-pound three-star offensive tackle from Waubonsie Valley High School (Aurora, IL) would definitely count as a rising star who is still running under the radar, even with a Notre Dame offer. Muralis is ranked as the No. 654 player in the 2028 class, the No. 50 player at his offensive tackle position and the No. 18 player in the state of Illinois according to Rivals Industry Rankings. He isn't yet ranked by 247Sports.

So far, the monster offensive lineman also doesn't have a ton of offers. In addition to Notre Dame, he's received attention from Akron, Florida Atlantic, Illinois, Oklahoma State, Purdue, Toledo, UCLA and Wisconsin. Interesting enough, the Rockets, Owls, Fighting Irish, Boilermakers and Illini all jumped on the hype train on the same day. Muralis reported a total of five offers on June 22.

There's no telling exactly why that day was such a big one for the offensive lineman, but it's clear he's doing something to impress more and more programs every day.

That so many programs have come calling all around the same time and Notre Dame is standing out from the pack has to be a good sign.

There's no telling just when Kajus Muralis might pull the trigger if he is all that close to picking his school. All Notre Dame can do at this point is keep the pressure on the talented offensive lineman until he does in fact, arrive at a decision.
