There simply hasn't been a Notre Dame football player who has helped his NFL Draft stock more than Malachi Fields over the last month. Todd McShay is just the latest to think that the wide receiver has made himself quite a bit more attractive to a plethora of NFL front offices.
McShay, in a recent post on Twitter, laid out exactly why he thinks Fields is the guy who is impressing everyone the more they look at him. The analyst admitted that the "analytical profile" is very good, but that's not really what makes him scary.
"Notre Dame WR Malachi Fields’ analytical profile is scary, but his tape —as an agile big-bodied vertical weapon who knows how to tempo his routes and can do this," pointing down to a clip McShay posted. "Is intoxicating!"

Malachi Fields turns heads with agility and route tempo in NFL Draft prep
"He’s gonna be an interesting debate in some NFL draft rooms the next couple months."
Fields demonstrated his skills, which weren't always shown off by a Fighting Irish team that had a devastating run game, during the second day of Senior Bowl practices.
On one particular play, Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green rushed his throw to Fields more than he needed to with a clean pocket. Green threw without setting his feet, and the ball drifted back and away from Fields, who was running uncovered.
However, the former Notre Dame veteran adjusted to the football, raced back toward the middle of the field, and made a highlight reel, over-the-shoulder catch. It was a play that was harder than it needed to be by a mile, but Malachi Fields showed the kind of talent that has lots of draft analysts drooling.
