Considering how big a matchup the game between the Notre Dame football team and Miami is, one would have hoped that the weather wouldn't get in the way of either team's game plan. Especially considering the Irish are on the road and not necessarily in a climate they're used to playing in. Unfortunately, the weather will indeed play some part, and at the very least, there's a very good chance that field conditions are going to be plenty sloppy.

There has always been some concern that things might be a little rainy and wet. The forecast even a few days out showed the possibility of precipitation. However, the Irish and the Hurricanes could be playing in a downpour.

How Notre Dame vs. Miami weather could impact the game plan

Notre Dame has officially arrived at Hard Rock Stadium, and they can't be happy about the wetness. The talk this week was that the Irish knew they needed to be ready. However, head coach Marcus Freeman went on the record as saying he didn't feel like they needed to practice any differently to account for the weather. That included not wetting down the footballs.

Ideally, an atmosphere that makes it harder to throw the ball favors the Irish. After all, they don't just have Jeremiyah Love to tote the rock; they've also got Jadarian Price and Aneyas Williams ready to step in when Love needs a break.

It won't be long now before the Notre Dame football team shows just how well they can play in less-than-ideal situations against a Top 10 team. Hopefully, they execute like the coaching staff thinks they can.
