The Notre Dame football team is on quite a heater when it comes to the 2027 recruiting class. The Irish have one commit this week and are predicted to land several more. While an official Crystal Ball hasn't come in for Monshun Sales, Marcus Freeman and Co. are in good standing.

Sales, a 6-foot-5 205 205-pound wide receiver from Indianapolis, Indiana named his "Final 12" schools he's considering to commit to. According to Hayes Fawcett, the other schools in the running alongside Notre Dame are Alabama, Ohio State, Miami, LSU, Oregon, Missouri, Texas A&M, Michigan, Ole Miss, Indiana, and Tennessee.

It's possible that Notre Dame got itself on this list after he visited South Bend last weekend and watched the Irish dominate the USC Trojans on Saturday night.

"I just love Notre Dame, that's that," Sales said after the visit. "I just really love Notre Dame."

The 5-star receiver who is considered the top player in Indiana, the No. 3 wide receiver, and the No. 14 player overall in the 2027 class was a good player as a sophomore for Lawrence North in 2024, but he has been a dominant force as a junior. In nine games, he has managed to haul in 35 receptions for 782 yards and nine touchdowns. He also boasts a 22.3 yards per reception average, showing he's got some serious big-play abilities.

Obviously, there's hope from folks at Notre Dame that Monshun Sales, hailing from the state, will give them a foot in the door. Of course, they're also going up against the Hoosiers, so even staying close to home doesn't mean the Irish win the battle. This will be a fight to the finish.
