As we move closer and closer to the 2025 NFL Draft, it’s natural to wonder just where the latest projections have a host of former Notre Dame football stars. It’s a foregone conclusion that there will be some Fighting Irish players going, it’s just a matter of who and when they’ll be picked.
One new Mock Draft has a whopping eight Notre Dame players getting drafted this year. That’s the good news. The bad news is that the College Sports Network (via One Foot Down) doesn’t have any of the Blue and Gold stars going in the first round.
New NFL mock draft projects big haul for Notre Dame football
The first Notre Dame football star to go in this Mock is none other than Benjamin Morrison, who is projected to go in the second round at No. 56 to the Buffalo Bills. It’s a relatively long wait for the next Irish player to go.
Xavier Watts is projected to go in the third round at No. 74 to the Carolina Panthers. He’s followed in round four by linebacker Jack Kiser at the No. 127 pick to the Los Angeles Rams.
The fifth round will see two Notre Dame Fighting Irish stars back-to-back. At No. 152 Howard Cross is expected to go to the Arizona Cardinals and then tight end Mitchell Evans goes at No. 153 to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Two Notre Dame football stars are expected to then go in the seventh round in Rylie Mills at No. 192 to the Cleveland Browns and RJ Oben at No. 213 to the Las Vegas Raiders. Finally, quarterback Riley Leonard is expected to be taken with the No. 254 pick to the New Orleans Saints.
