The Notre Dame football team ended April on one heck of a recruiting run. It feels like May just might keep that going. Granted, it will be quite a ways after that before the Irish find out whether they’re getting Nick Reddish. However, things look like they’re trending very much in the right direction.

Reddish has liked what he’s seem from the Irish for a while now. And the ND coaches like what they see from the 4-star safety. That was demonstrated again when defensive backs coach Mike Mickens and assistant Jevaughn Codlin paid him an in-home visit

That visit came just a few weeks after Reddish took another unofficial trip to see Notre Dame football and what South Bend had to offer. His comments after that visit certainly make it seem as though the Golden Domers are the group to beat.

It was nothing short of impressive,” Reddish told Irish Sports Daily in early April. It's always like that when I go down there, but they just harped on the education more and how it could set you up and the networking you get and the opportunities you get.”

Reddish obviously loves the history and prestige of Notre Dame but after his last visit he talked an awful lot about the academic opportunities that an education in South Bend offers.

“It sets you up for life even when football's over. Even if you have a long career in the NFL, it's 10 years and you're 32. So, after that you still have to be able to do stuff and with having that degree, you'll be able to do so many more things than you'll expect.”

It’s a safe bet than when the Notre Dame football assistant coaches were in to see him, they remiinded him of that. And they’re going to keep reminding him all the way up to the day when he announces his commitment in July.
