The Notre Dame football team's offense has been rolling through four games so far in the 2025 season. They are currently the 8th highest scoring offense of all Power Four schools, and outside of the first half against Miami, have been unstoppable.

At one point against Arkansas, the Irish had scored 13 touchdowns in 14 drives between the Purdue and Arkansas game. Serious levels of dominance. Punter James Rendell hasn't even punted in the last two games.

Notre Dame also scores 44 points per game, averages 306 passing yards per game, totals 173 rushing yards per game, and converts on 52% of their third downs. They have been an elite offensive unit so far, and to continue winning games, they must remain an elite unit that outscores its opponents. Here are three keys for the Notre Dame offense to earn the victory against Boise State and move to 3-2 on the season.

Feed the backfield beasts

Last week, Jeremiyah Love turned heads with his dominant first half, where he had 19 touches for 127 yards and four touchdowns. He did not play in the second half of the game.

Running mate Jadarian Price was also solid, totaling 14 touches for 121 yards and two touchdowns. The combo has now scored twelve touchdowns over the last two games and amassed over 500 yards of offense in those contests.

For the season, Love and Price have totaled almost 800 total yards of offense and accounted for 15 touchdowns. To say it is an absolute must to get these two the football early and often is an understatement. Look for Love and Price to combine for 30 touches, 200 total yards, and three or more scores again. If they hit those benchmarks, the Irish will win this one easily.

Notre Dame football must spread the wealth with the passing game

Notre Dame's offense has been almost too good in some of these games. The weapons on offense have lost out on some opportunities in the passing game because there are too many guys to get involved.

Malachi Fields and Jordan Faison have emerged from the pack as the two most involved targets so far this year. Fields has amassed 13 catches for 275 yards, while Faison is up to 19 catches for 244 yards.

However, guys like Will Pauling, Jaden Greathouse, and Eli Raridon are also really valuable players who have been involved throughout the season. Not to mention Love out of the backfield.

Quarterback CJ Carr needs to keep getting his playmakers involved. If Fields and Faison can continue to dominate, and he can sprinkle in some catches for the rest, it's a really good day for the Irish offense, as we saw against Arkansas.

The offensive line has to keep dominating

After week 1 against Miami, the offensive line came under fire for their lackluster effort.

Since that point, the line has been much improved, even dominating the last two weeks against Purdue and Arkansas. Boise State has an excellent defensive line and has been generating pressure on opponents all season long.

Not only must the offensive line for Notre Dame keep CJ Carr upright in the passing game, but they also must get a good push in the run game as well. If CJ Carr is sacked less than 3 times on Saturday, and Notre Dame can continue to average over 5.0 yards per carry, they will maintain possession and move the ball well.
