Notre Dame might be heating up in the 2027 recruiting class again. In fact, at least one Irish insider believes Marcus Freeman's crew is about to land one of the best receivers in the cycle, Cade Cooper.

Having offered Cooper not all that long ago, he's already set up an official visit for June. He's also expected to take another unofficial visit to South Bend this Spring. And, the cherry on the cupcake is that Rivals' Mike Singer put in an official prediction for Cooper earlier this week.

Cooper took an unofficial visit to Notre Dame in late January and was clearly impressed by what he saw and what he heard from Freeman and his coaching staff. The visit, as the 6-foot-2, 190-pound receiver put it, helped "solidify" the Fighting Irish as real contenders for his commitment.

During that visit, he locked in his official visit from June 12 to June 14. "It definitely was a priority for me," Cooper told Irish Sports Daily. "When my dad and I went down in January, I just really enjoyed it. The vibe and the people showed a lot of love and made time for me, and I think that was really important."

The wide receiver out of Malvern Prep in Pennsylvania is rated as the No. 8 player in the state, the No. 32 receiver, and the No. 226 player in his class by the Rivals Industry Rankings. 247Sports has him a bit lower in its rankings, as the No. 12 player in PA, the No. 43 receiver, and No. 339 player in the 2027 class.

Analysts have long considered Cade Cooper to be an Ole Miss or Penn State lean, but it now looks as though Notre Dame is picking up steam. The Irish have had quite a bit of success in wide receiver recruiting of late, and the Pennsylvania product could be the next big win.
