There is exactly one thing that could put a damper on the good vibes of this College Football Playoff game for the Notre Dame football team. That would be losing a key player to a serious injury.
Unfortunately, there are at least some concerns that’s what happened early in the second half of the Fighting Irish game against Indiana. And unfortunately, it looks like Rylie Mills got hurt both by running into a teammate and while helping to record a sack that put Indiana behind the eight ball on their first drive of the half.
Mills left the game after the sack with help from the team and was limping pretty badly. If there is some good news, he was later seen walking along the sideline by himself but was limping quite badly. Later in the third quarter it was announced that the Notre Dame football team had put a brace on the knee that he apparently injured and the defensive lineman was spotted standing as though he wanted to go back in the game.

About the same time that ABC was reporting as though Mills might be trying to test the knee, Notre Dame beatwriter Tyler James noticed that the defensive star was on the sidelines, but looked as though someone had taken his helmet away.
Meanwhile it would appear concerns that running back Jeremiyah Love also reinjured himself popped up as well. While he did return to the field late in the third quarter, he exited again after a few carries and was also noticeably limping on the sideline.
The Notre Dame football team’s fans will certainly be watching both situations closely both tonight and over the next few days.
