The Notre Dame football team's crazy recruiting run keeps on going day after day after day. On Thursday, Marcus Freeman and his staff brought in not just another 4-star recruit but the second tight-end recruit of the week. This time, the recruiting win was Ian Premer.

The 6-foot-6 230-pound tight end from Great Bend, Kansas, chose the Golden Domers over Iowa State, Kansas, among many others Kansas State. According to On3, Premer is the No. 1 player in Kansas, the No. 4 player at his position, and the No. 42 player in the entire class.

The Notre Dame football team can especially feel good about the win considering that Premer just took a repeat visit to Kansas State. Usually, that can be the kiss of death for any other team that is hoping to land such a talented player.

This time around, the Irish made such an impression that Premer came to his senses and realized the Little Apple couldn't hold a candle to South Bend. That he pulled the trigger just after Preston Fryzel committed as well.

Granted, few schools have demonstrated they know how to utilize more than one tight end at any one time better than the Fighting Irish have. There's also the fact that Notre Dame has found a way to transform itself into Tight End U in a big way.

Every single starting tight end with the Notre Dame football team, since Anthony Fasano, all the way back to 2004, has been drafted to the NFL. That's a heck of a recruiting pitch to make when Freeman walks into Ian Premer or Preston Fryzel's living room.
