The Notre Dame football team has seven players in the Top 100 players in the sport, according to PFF.
That’s hardly a surprise considering that the Fighting Irish just went to the National Championship Game. Obviously there’s quite a bit of talent on the roster. However, it’s still impressive that the Golden Domers got that many people on the list.
PFF put out its year recap of the Top 100 players and perhaps the one thing that’s a bit of a surprise is that the Notre Dame football team’s top player isn’t until Xaver Watts at No. 16. There’s also the fact that five of the seven Irish players on the list are on the defensive side of the ball. That’s hardly shocking either, but does illustrate where this team’s strengths lie.
Notre Dame football team gets seven players on PFF Top 100
The first player on the list is Xavier Watts at No. 16 and that he’s the best rated player on the team is hardly a shock. Watts posted an 89.7 overall grade which is weirdly a ton better than 2023.
At No. 19 is Jeremiyah Love, who could see a big jump in 2025. No. 21 is Leonard Moore, a freshman cornerback who has people convinced he’ll be among the best in the sport in a big way in 2025.
There’s a big drop from there as the next Notre Dame football player is Riley Leonard at No. 71, then No. 75 in Jordan Clark, No. 88 Jack Kiser and then finally No. 94 Drayk Bowen.
