Earlier this week, Notre Dame fans thought the Fighting Irish had finally reeled in its first Transfer Portal win. While it turns out that Marcus Freeman and his crew are still waiting, there's a chance an even bigger get in the form of Mylan Graham.

Graham, a former 5-star receiver, decided to enter the portal after two years with the Ohio State Buckeyes, despite an opportunity for greater playing time with Carnell Tate declaring for the NFL Draft.

Graham helped beat Notre Dame to win a national championship in 2024. Now, it looks like he is poised to join the Irish. On3's Steve Wiltfong and Pete Nakos have both put in predictions that ND will win the battle for the talented player.

Notre Dame emerging as favorite for Ohio State transfer Mylan Graham

Should the Irish score Graham, he'll have some developing to do. The New Haven, Indiana native had only 5 catches for 93 yards in his two seasons with Ohio State. As a former 5-star prospect, there is tons of potential that he's shown, and Notre Dame was very interested when he entered the transfer portal.

It's also possible the Irish have had to change their aim when it comes to the wide receiver position in the transfer portal. Their top targets have all gone elsewhere, apparently scared off by what ND has in-house at the position.

Graham is someone who almost certainly hasn't been guaranteed a starting job at any Power 4 school. However, should he see some serious growth this spring (assuming he spends it in South Bend) he could get some serious playing time with Notre Dame as their offense continues to evolve.
