Notre Dame is on an absolute tear in the month of May when it comes to the 2027 recruiting class. Marcus Freeman has been a wizard on the recruiting trail, bringing in multiple recruits so far this month. Notre Dame already got a big win on Tuesday and is in for a few more late this week.
The Irish already have the No. 4-ranked 2027 recruiting class with a stellar number of 15 recruits, and this is all before the heart of the recruiting cycle even hits. This summer is going to be big when it comes to recruiting with official visits, and Notre Dame could bring in even more recruits.
Freeman is pretty high on one recruit in particular, who will be making his commitment on Wednesday, May 13, live on the Rivals YouTube Channel. Four-star wide receiver Quentin Burrell will be picking between Notre Dame, Missouri, Michigan, and Arizona State at 3:00 ET.

Notre Dame could land one of the top wide receivers left in the class of 2027
Even though it feels like Marcus Freeman can't miss right now on the recruiting trail, getting a commitment from Burrell won't be easy. The four-star wide receivers have been a top target of Michigan and Kyle Whittingham for some time, and many predictions have him landing in Ann Arbor.
Burrell does have some family ties to Michigan right now with his sister currently attending the university, but that doesn't mean he isn't still considering all his options. Freeman needs some wide receiver depth in this class, only has one currently committed.
Right now, the only receiver Freeman has a commitment from in the 2027 recruiting class is three-star recruit Jackson Coleman. Burrell is high considerd one of the best uncommitted receivers left in the 2027 class, and will be a huge hit for whichever school he chooses.
Burrell is currently the No. 83 player in the Class of 2027, the No. 14 wide receiver in the class, and the No. 6 player in the state of Illinois. Other than Arizona State, the schools Burrell has narrowed down to are all relatively closer to home, proving stay close to family could be a key in his decision.
Freeman is going to have to use some last-minute recruiting magic on Burrell to see if he can sway his decision from the Wolverines, where it feels like he could be heading. The good news for Freeman and Notre Dame fans is that committed isn't signed, adn if Burrell decides to take official visits this summer, Freeman could potentially get a flip.
All eyes will be on Burrell on Wednesday when he makes his commitment like at 3:00 p.m. ET.
