Spring ball is officially underway in South Bend, and Irish fans are chomping at the bit to get any sort of inside look at how Notre Dame is preparing for the 2026 season. After a disappointing end to the 2025 season, there is a lot of buzz around the Irish and how they can be the most feared team in college football.
While the guys are gearing up for the 2026 season, head coach Marcus Freeman is also gearing up for years to come. Just because spring ball is full swing doesn't mean he isn't still focusing on recruiting. Freeman has done an excellent job building the Class of 2027, but he is looking even further now.
Notre Dame football offers 2028 five-star No. 1 overall prospect Jett Harrison
Five-star wide receiver Jett Harrison was just named the No. 1 overall prospect out of the Class of 2028 by Rivals, and Freeman has set his eyes on the talented pass-catcher. It has been reported that Notre Dame has officially offered Harrison, putting their name in the hat for his recruitment.

The name Harrison might ring a bell, as Jett Harrison is the son of NFL legendary wide receiver Marvin Harrison Sr. and the younger brother of Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.
While Harrison still has loads of offers coming in, it feels like one of the biggest competitors for Harrison's recruitment will be Ohio State, where his brother attended before heading to the NFL. Marvin Harrison Jr. came out of college as the top wide receiver in the 2024 NFL Draft, selected fourth overall by the Cardinals.
Now, Jett will make his own way in college and hopes to follow in the line of successful pass catchers in his family. If Notre Dame can land a commitment from Harrison, it would be huge for the future offense of the Irish, especially with some quarterbacks in the works in South Bend.
