The month of June is not just heating up temperature-wise, but in the college football recruiting world as well. As summer weekends turn into official visits for prospective recruits, coaches are working hard to build their programs for the future, and simply keep guys in their building.

Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman is trying to keep his recruits in the building, bring in new recruits, and even flip a couple more to the Fighting Irish. One of the players he is working to flip is long-time Florida State commit Efrem White.

White is a 4-star wide receiver out of Vero Beach, Florida, who committed to the Seminoles back in December of 2023. To be committed for that long and now be on potential flip watch seems crazy, but when Notre Dame comes knocking, you just ignore it.

White went on a multi-day visit to Notre Dame during this past week, and after working out with the coaches, it seems he liked what he saw. White created a solid bond with the coaching staff over the week after the Fighting Irish made an offer to the top-ranked wide receiver about two weeks ago.

Marcus Freeman has put together an elite 2026 recruiting class

Freeman has currently garnered 16 commits for the Class of 2026 at Notre Dame, giving the Fighting Irish the No. 2 class in the country according to 247 Sports. The class so far consists of one 5-star recruit, nine four-star recruits, and six three-star recruits.

Bringing in White could help bolster the class even more, as Notre Dame is looking to be a real contender to flip his recruitment. The recruiting season is still young in the early part of June, and Freeman can still add some big names to the class, especially being a finalist on many recruits' lists.
