While most people believe that the Notre Dame football team is more than good enough to knock off an undefeated Navy squad, there is at least one analyst who believes the Midshipmen are about to pull off a massive upset.

When the Fighting Irish take on the service academy, they’ll be doing so on a neutral field. That might actually make it easier to pull off the win against the undefeated team. Don’t count Joel Klatt among those who thinks the Blue and Gold are going to win.

During a recent appearance previewing this week’s games. The former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback wasn’t asked directly who would come out victorious, but instead was questioned on which teams were overrated, underrated or just right. Notre Dame football isn’t technically overrated, but he believes Navy is very underrated.

Notre Dame football set for big loss according to one analyst

When the rapidfire session got to Navy, Klatt proclaimed they weren’t just underrated but they were “way better than people realize.” Not only that, he went on to say that the spread was too large and believes that “they beat Notre Dame outright.”

Klatt’s comments will likely not be well met by Irish fans. The Blue and Gold have seemingly put the team back on its path towards a playoff spot. Of course, they’re also a team that lost their second game of the season to a Northern Illinois team that has since shown it was pretty inferior.

Notre Dame football will try and keep things going as the Irish prove they’re headed to the playoffs with a big win on Saturday morning.
