No. 9 Notre Dame took down No. 22 Pitt with ease on Saturday in a game where it seemed like Panthers head coach Pat Narduzzi didn't mind giving away. Narduzzi even said earlier in the week that he didn't care if Pitt lost by 100 because their focus is on ACC play, and that game against the Fighting Irish wasn't ACC play.
Of course, Narduzzi pulled back on his comments and said it is a way to get the pressure off of his guys, but they certainly didn't look great on Saturday. Even though Narduzzi didn't seem to care about losing, he seems to be complaining a lot about things that happened during the game.

Notre Dame's defense against the Pitt Panthers was stifling on Saturday as the Fighting Irish did not allow a single third-down conversion from the Panthers, going 0-for-13 on Saturday. That meant that Notre Dame's defense improved from No. 54 to No. 25 on third-down conversions. This is a Notre Dame defense that has come a long way this season, especially since the two early losses.
Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi, instead of giving Notre Dame's defense credit for how well they played, wanted to talk about the Fighting Irish holding guys and the refs choosing not to make the call.
"Have to go back and watch the tape if our guys were getting open or getting tugged or whatever else was happening," Narduzzi said. "It was very touchy out there."
This is not a good look for Narduzzi at all. First, the guy talked about how it didn't matter if his team got blown out, and then when his team did, he wanted to complain about the way the Fighting Irish played. Ultimately, Narduzzi should have just said good game to the Irish and moved on.
