Notre Dame football fans are still a couple of days away from watching the Fighting Irish for the final time in the 2023 season. Until then it’s all about killing time and trying to find some decent bowl games today.

Luckily for Notre Dame fans, there are a couple of bowl games today that are worth watching. There’s even one game that features not one but two teams that the Irish played this year The question on everyone’s mind is which team do we hate more these days.

The Military Bowl kicks off the bowl games today

The first game of the day starts at 2pm local time and is televised on ESPN. It features a Virginia Tech team that simply isn’t that good, against a Tulane squad that might take the Hokies for a spin if this were the regular season. Unfortunately the Green Wave are missing some important pieces. That’s why the ACC squad is favored by double-digits.

Duke's Mayo Bowl

At 5:30pm local time, the North Carolina Tarheels will face off against a West Virginia team that surprised plenty of college football fans by winning 8 games. They’re also favored against the Tarheels by almost a touchdown. One would think a lot of that is owed to Drake Mayes not playing.

DIRECTV Holiday Bowl features Notre Dame football rivals

At 8 pm, it’s safe to say that either there will be a ton of people circling this one as the biggie of the bowl games today or the one that Irish fans can’t bare to watch. There’s Louisville, who Notre Dame fans hate because of the blowout loss this year. And then there’s USC who the Irish dismantled. So who do we root for?

TaxAct Texas Bowl

One hour later, Notre Dame fans can start scouting their season-opening opponent for 2024. Texas A&M will face off against Oklahoma State in a battle of former conference rivals. That game could end up being pretty ugly considering how many players opted out of the bowl for Texas A&M. It could be the ugliest of the bowl games today when all is said and done.
