Any worries that former Notre Dame football star Kyren Williams’ breakout 2023 season was a fluke can probably be put to bed. Unfortunately, while the running back has returned to form in recent weeks, his Los Angeles Rams still look like a mess of a team destined to be sitting at home come playoff time.

On Sunday, Williams did all he could to take the Rams across the finish line. Unfortunately, their defense wasn’t able to hold the line against the Chicago Bears and they were handed a 24-18 loss.

Notre Dame football fans, of course, might care more how their player did and in the last two weeks, it’s been nothing but rave reviews for the back. Williams got off to a slow start that might have had some concerned his 2023 wasn’t going to be repeated.

However, Williams not only ran the ball for 94 yards on just 19 carries, but he also had 4 catches for 10 yards. He also extended longest active of streak of scoring at least one touchdown in a game as he found the endzone once on Sunday.

Ex-Notre Dame football star keeps touchdown streak going

Williams now has 7 straight games of scoring at least one touchdown. What makes that streak so impressive, of course, is that the Rams have only played four games this season. So he’s picked up where he left off in 2023.

On the season, he’s scored five rushing TDs and one receiving. Williams now has 21 scores in over his career after scoring 12 times on the ground and three times through the air a year ago.

Sadly, the former Notre Dame footbal star can’t literally do it all as his Rams’ 1-3 record on the season has to be a disappointment for a team that went to the playoffs last year.
