As if Notre Dame football needed any help, Rivals reshuffled its recruiting rankings for the 2025 class, and the Fighting Irish now have nearly a dozen commits inside the Top 250 players in the country. In total, Marcus Freeman and his bunch got a boost in overall points as well. They were already ranked as the top class in the country for the current cycle, but they’ve got a bit more of a stranglehold on that spot now.

Chicago Simeon defensive end Christopher Burgess Jr. is Notre Dame's top-ranked player on the Rivals250. Burgess checks in as the nation's No. 37 overall player, which is up one spot from the previous rankings release. Burgess is ranked as the No. 2 strongside end in the 2025 class.

Quarterback commit Deuce Knight is now the 52nd-ranked player in the entire class of 2025. That’s actually a drop of one spot, but Rivals clearly still seems him nearly on the cusp of being one of the Top 50 recruits in the country.

Offensive tackle Will Black is the biggest jump of the class for the Notre Dame football team. He was not in the Top 250 players the last time the rankings were put together. He enters this version at number 62.

Right behind Black is another offensive tackle for the Fighting Irish. Owen Streibig checks in as the 64th best player in the class. Owen is also the biggest drop for one reason or another. He was previously 43rd in the class.

Outside linebacker Anthony Sacca is the second highest ranked defensive player on Irish commit list. Like Streibig he suffered a bit of a drop. In all, he fell 16 spots to 72nd in the 2025 class.

Notre Dame football gets 10 players into the Rivals250

Safety Ivan Taylor is the third defender in the Rivals250 as he jumps up eight spots to 102nd while fellow defensive back Dallas Golden falls eight spots to 154th in the latest round of rankings.

Like Black, offensive lineman Matty Augustine made his debut in the Rivals250 with this round of rerankings. He starts off in the Rivals250 with a ranking of 224.

Rounding out the Notre Dame football commits in the  Rivals250 are defensive lineman Joseph Reiff who checks in as the 237th player overall and the Irish’s newest commit in Ben Davis cornerback Mark Zackery who ranks as the 247th overall player.
