The two Notre Dame Fighting Irish basketball teams are in vastly different places heading into the upcoming season.. The men are in their second season under Micah Shrewsberry, and they expect to be improved. The women have Final Four aspirations with their most stacked team in years.

While one squad thinks it knows exactly where it’s going and thinks it knows how to get there, the other is simply trying to figure out the next step in the rebuild. But both are allowing fans to see what they have to offer in their respective coming seasons.

An open practice will be held at Purcell Pavilion on Oct. 11. The women will take the floor at 2:30 p.m. with the men following 90 minutes later. Both Notre Dame Fighting Irish basketball teams will show off the most talented players on their rosters and hopefully why fans will get excited for this season.
