The Notre Dame football team has quite the 2025 recruiting class on its hands. Marcus Freeman and company already have double digit commits and most of those commits are very highly rated. In fact, one of them was just boosted to a 5-star on Monday.

Now the Fighting Irish find themselves among the final favorites to land one of the best linebackers in the state of California. Madden Faraimo took to social media to name the schools that he's considering for a final push as we head further into the spring and summer.

Of course, being in the Top 4 for the linebacker doesn't mean that the job is remotely done for Notre Dame football. The other schools that are still in the running are going to be very hard to beat.

Faraimo has 22 total offers. According to his social media post, he's narrowing down that list to the Fighting Irish, Ohio State, Oregon and USC. Obviously the Trojans are the knee-jerk reaction to being the favorite simply because they are the only home state school on the list.

However, Marcus Freeman and his staff have done a great job of getting guys like Faraimo. It's not just kids from the state of California but they've also had quite a bit of success with Polynesian players in the last few cycles.

In the 2024 class, they signed Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa, who just happens to check off both of those boxes. In the upcoming 2025 cycle, the Irish might do it again with Madden Faraimo.

The 6-foot, 3-inch and 210-pound linebacker is in the same mold as KVA, with a very similar recruiting ranking as well. The 247Sports Composite Rankings has Faraimo as the No. 4 linebacker and 38th overall prospect in the country.

Rivals has the prospect rated similarly. According to those rankings, he's the #5 linebacker in the class.
