Notre Dame football target was hyped ‘through the roof’ after South Bend visit
One of the positions that the Notre Dame football team has focused on above all else is the cornerback. Obviously part of the reason for that is you just can’t have enough guys who can intelligently play that position. The good news there is while they haven’t won every battle when they’ve gone hard after a cornerback prospect, they’re having success.
Count Khary Adams among those they’ve had a ton of success showing what the Fighting Irish have to offer. Adams came to the Irish Invasion camp without an offer yet. He left South Bend blown away and with an official offer to come back and play for them when he was able to do so.
“My emotions were through the roof,” Adams told Irish Sports Daily following his conversation with head coach Marcus Freeman. “I was so excited.” He admitted that coming down from Maryland, it was a bit of a trek to see what the Notre Dame football team has to offer. But he was clearly glad he made the trip.

While the main goal of going to these camps is to get an offer if you don’t have one, it’s also getting to work with college coaches to improve a player’s game. Adams said he was definitely able to do that.
However, In addition to learning from defensive backs coach Mike Mickens during camp, the 6-foot-2 defensive back who rates as a 4-star prospect in the 2026 class, was able to speak with Mickens following the camp as well.
Adams also made it clear that he’s quite comfortable in South Bend. That’s despite the fact that his home-state Maryland Terapins are hard after him as well.
With a ton of Power Conference schools coming after Khary Adams, Notre Dame football has to be happy how much he sees himself coming back to South Bend.
